The crew we book starts with an inspection. They go up through the manhole to find the nest and the tracks the possum uses, then walk the outside of the house to look at the gutters, ridge capping, eaves, vents and any spot where a lower roof meets the main roof. Worn, greasy or fur-marked edges usually show the main way in.
Once they can see how the possum gets in, the crew gets it out of the roof space. A common method is a one-way door fitted over the main gap, so the possum can leave at night but cannot get back inside. The other gaps are sealed straight away, and the final one is closed once the roof is clear.
