Every possum in a roof has a way in. It might be a gap no wider than a fist under a lifted ridge cap, a broken tile, an open gable vent or the hole left where an air conditioning pipe goes through the eaves. Entry point sealing closes those gaps so the roof space is no longer open to possums. We book this work across North Lakes for homes of every age.
The crew we book first finds the gaps. Fresh entry points are often marked with dark grease stains, scratches or tufts of fur where the possum brushes past each night. Older, unused gaps are also sealed, since a new possum may find them later. The crew then closes each gap with galvanised mesh, metal flashing, foam and sealant, or mortar at the ridge, depending on the spot.
It is important that no possum is left inside when the final gaps are closed. If a possum is still in the roof, the crew deals with that first, usually with a one-way door over the main entry, before sealing the final opening.
